  • Join us for the first Pasta Festival in Dalston in DALSTON SQUARE.

    Pasta Armando and Donna Fugassa are delighted to invite you to the first Pasta Festival: a FREE pasta tasting event in Dalston Square.

    Five hundreds (500) portions of pasta will be lively cooked and then served for FREE by Pasta Armando’s Italian Chef Lorenzo Toppi in the square. The aim of the Festival is to show how easy is to cook pasta and to share a meal with the community.
    There will be live music during the day and a DJ set after 4.30PM to be enjoyed by everyone which will close the Festival and more broadly the the Dalston Children Festival.

    BAND OFF THE WALL – Dalston Community Street Band
    The Band off the Wall is a community street band project based in Dalston. It was started 2016 byThe Grand Union Orchestra, taking inspiration from the ‘Peace Mural’ outside the Curve Garden on Dalston Lane. In it’s membership and repertoire, it is intended to be a reflection of the wonderful multicultural nature of Hackney, and indeed welcomes new members and instruments of all kinds.

    The Band Off the Wall will perform two sets at the Pasta Festival from 11.30am to12.30am.

    STANZA DA TRE – Italian Jazz Trio
    Stanza Da Tre is a trio (double bass previously bass, piano and voice) that started concentrating on Italian music in its various styles and genres and developed towards a versatile and lively repertoire including jazz, chanson, bossa nova, folk and original compositions.
    Maddalena Ghezzi voice, Ed Blunt piano and Theodoris Ziarkas double bass.

    Stanza da Tre will perform two sets at the Pasta Festival
    from 1.00pm to 2.00pm

    Pasta Armando is the first pasta made with 100% Italian wheat from the central and southern regions of Italy, according to the Armando Supply Chain Pact, which aims to look after the wealth of land where the wheat is grown as well as nurturing the dialogue between the farmers and the producer.
    Farmers adhering to the Supply Chain Pact agree to cultivate their wheat according to precise standards set by the Grano Armando to ensure the quality of the raw material and it’s origin.
